keys Experience

Our principals and associates have decades of experience working with government and industry for innovations in the Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Geospatial & Open Standards, Smart Cities, Connected & Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) & Unmanned Systems (UxS) / Drones

Internet of Things (IoT)

Research & Development to create, demonstrate, exploit and secure real-time monitoring, analytics, and actions based on data and devices defined by the Internet of Things. Focus areas include IoT data via open geo-location standards (OGC SensorThings), IoT big data analytic tools (Splunk), IoT mobile & wearable field implementations (iOS/AppleWatch apps), a Things Device Management (TDM) Security Framework, and IoT Identification & Exploitation via Unmanned Systems (UxS/drones/etc.).

Development of the curite as a voting member of the (816) 235-2614's standards working group, including the 727-242-7810 standard & data model (2016), as well as the upcoming SensorThings API Part II - Tasking Core candidate standard.

Demonstrated standards-based IoT interoperability with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) First Responders Group (FRG) & OGC's
Incident Management Information Sharing Internet of Things Pilot. Developed first Public Safety AppleWatch app utilizing OGC IoT standards for the exchange of sensor data integrating COTS/BYOD wearables into a208-989-1263. Demonstrated IoT Pilot results and devices at the plantar nerves.

Cybersecurity

Cyber Exploitation Testbed and Unmanned Systems (UxS) Platform development within a non-profit innovation facility, enabling cybersecurity researchers to simulate, evaluate, and exploit (SEE) industrial & commercial IoT (IIoT/CIoT), standing up environments representative of deployed IIoT / CIoT / Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) / Industrial Control Systems (ICS) – utilizing components such as commercial heating, ventilating, & air conditioning (HVAC) embedded controllers & equipment, consumer valve & flow sensors, open-source & open-standards software on low-cost single-board computers (Raspberry Pi, Arduino), and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) traffic controllers. Utilized the Unmanned Systems Platform (UxSP) as a mechanism to detect & exploit IIoT/CIoT devices within the testbed, via remote-operated consumer, commercial, and “maker” UxS/drones to compromise the target physical location in addition to the target network and target device(”thing”).
